during lockdown times earlier this spring two guys (behind bazovoe techno community and the label) realized that many producers appeared to have plenty of free time to spend it on music. in the certain circumstances an idea came to their heads to start a small challenge - make a track in one day - among our community of artists and producers in st. petersburg and russia. starting it just for fun they even couldn t imagine that the overall results would be so much above expectations! so as a result of this challenge during a month more than 20 artists from around russia took part in it sending over tracks they made per one day in isolation. all tracks were immediately uploaded to the label s soundcloud and bandcamp on an every-week base with the reason to support producers in such a way - giving those of them whose music was purchased all the money from sales directly. and already by the end of this challenge it was decided to make a vinyl release with the best tracks submitted. as a result here is the 6 tracker va with the best representatives of our community from around russia that were connected during this period!

2020 repress! after a relatively long break jaffa surfa makes his return with a new release that is a bit more raw thus shifting the sound of tape hiss into the same direction. in comparison with his previous releases on labels like bosconi extra virgin, all inn records and houseworx he is making an effort to explore new territories with ‘psy lance ep’ while staying true to his trademark housey sound. considering all the musical styles that jaffa surfa is taking inspiration from (from the soul/funk/disco trio, through all shades of house music and all the way up to techno) it doesn’t come as a surprise to see him churning out productions in various styles even within one release. the rolling yet deep ‘psy lance’ complements the playful and trippy ‘bazz’ nicely just as the beatless dj-tool ‘preacha bonus’.

re-release! like no other project originating from that stylistic jungle that became known as the nineties, terranova has shown a strong focus besides genre definitions, with studio members fetisch and &me being true wanderers between worlds and times, holding 2012s dance floor in a tight choke. theres certainly a bassdrum beating in their chests, and even the elegic strings from question mark, that beautifully sung intro to terranovas latest album hotel amour, can barely hide a core made out of pure sweat and beats. remixes are from kink and adam port

as we approach the very last installment of the story, the greatest, final and cruelest battle between humankind and the clones is fought, just after the resistance is discovered hiding out in their underground lair. the humans were overwhelmed in numbers and outclassed in technology so the struggle was soon stifled and every rebel was brutally slaughtered until no one, but the captain, remained standing. literally the last man on earth burst into tears as he realized his species had been extinguished for good and he couldn t do anything to eschew it, while he was contemplating the obliterated battleground. that is even more painful than his own imminent death. he doubts for a split second, he pulls his gun from the belt and he says to himself while pushing the trigger.

this is cool jazz album all the way around. from the black and white hand drawn to the fact that it came out of fresno, california (not exactly a hotbed for jazz) to the handful of styles present (straight ahead, funky, free, and even a raga), this record’s got it going on. 500 copies press

reclaim your city returns to the shelves with its eight compilation featuring tracks by four of the genres finest. master and legend, steve bicknell, opens the record with the track that truly stands out on the compilation: a psychedelic piece titled >confusion of chase,< which is convoluted, dark, and extremely captivating. inigo kennedy follows with the thoughtfully composed >gradual return,< in which an offbeat rhythm perfectly coexist with an uplifting yet melancholic synth. things get even more exciting with pfirters >oppression,< which is both driving and hypnotizing, and makes a perfect peak time dancefloor bomb. the argentinian mainstay, jonas kopp, increases the tempo on >bigatron,< where a weirdly sarcastic groove pairs with a rain of metallic hi-hats as the piece progresses.

a fantastic package of no-nonsense dancefloor weapons here. for the 6th release of the label, brooklyn, ny-based teksupport enlists fellow new yorker (and teksupport event regular) avision for his debut on their imprint. avision has been on fire with recent releases on ben sims machine & hardgroove labels, and on mark brooms beardman, as well as on edge society. avisions two originals >liquid gold< and >over and under< continues the evolution of his signature production style of chunky, groovy & driving techno. fachwerk label head mike dehnert remixes not one, but both of the tracks, and takes them down an even dirtier path with his grubby & dub-infused beats.

kelli hand has long been at the front of detroit house and techno as a dj and as a producer, in the past she has collaborated and released music with claude young, robert hood, mike banks and many more and her own acacia records label has released a long string of essential 12s since its 1990 inception. tools vol.1 was released in 2002 and features 4 solid cuts from kelli who is in full-on house mode. this ep is definitely for the djs, with each track being a real joy to blend in and out of the mix, you might even need 2 copies of this one

repress 2019 - as the title suggests, there are many ways to jack and this ep makes no pretense about its intentions. dmx krew treat us to a wild concoction of tracks for the fourth instalment of the now firing on all cylinders, super rhythm trax label. the music here veers between grimy basement acid trax, uk bleep inspired future warehouse anthems and even an ultra cheeky ragga style rendition of lil louis classic -original video clash-. ed dmx is obviously having fun here and with 5 tracks and a loud cut, you re getting bang for your buck !! now leave me alone to jack.

finally, after a being one of the most featured artists on mindcolormusic, bromic put together a selec for a longplayer. manifold influences between acid, idm, sometimes bass or even funky, drawn together in these trax, creating so many different mood shades between hyperactive or happy, energetic and playful acid, things to call horror house appeal like a new kind of music even. a solid statement, but still just a peak on the works of this dude from bergamo, italy. i really enjoyed compiling this one, also had an interesting journey that i hope i can share by releasing this!

on this release we will bring you more funk and stomp, you ll get funky more funky and even funkier while stomping your feet to these serious bangers.

joe cleen is back on sbeditz after his first outing smashed dancefloors worldwide. dare we say this ep is even better than the first. four disco bombs blurring the lines between edits and full blown reworks. nobody does it like joe.
